View MapThe southern part of Napa Valley, including the Los Carneros AVA, has the coolest climate, with morning fog rolling off of the San Pablo Bay and breezes drifting through. This makes Los Carneros a prime region to grow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Start your day sipping vineyard-designate Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs at a table in the garden or tucked inside the barrel cellar at Saintsbury. You often have the chance to throw a ball for the winery's friendly dogs.
From Los Carneros, head up in elevation to Jarvis Estate, tucked away in the Vaca Mountains. Jarvis was the first winery and cave operation built entirely underground, preserving the unmarred beauty of the natural environment. You'll get to tour this grand 45,000 sq. ft. space, followed by an intimate, seated tasting of their Estate and Reserve Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignons and Merlots, among others.
When you arrive at Porter Family Vineyards’ Coombsville property you are rewarded by rolling vineyards, sweeping views and the winery’s unique architectural design. Like Jarvis Estate, the caves and winery are built into a hillside. As you tour the caves and property, you'll try some of their estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and other Bordeaux-style blends.
All wineries on this itinerary are certified Napa Green because of their dedication to sustainable practices in their winery and/or vineyards. Read more about their environmental and sustainability efforts at napagreen.org.
