When Francis & Eleanor Coppola purchased Captain Niebaum’s home on the Inglenook estate in 1975, their neighbor, Robert Mondavi, took them down to the cellar and encouraged them to open magnificent older bottles that held the secret of Inglenook’s longevity and promise – which is what inspired them to make Rubicon. Now, you can have that same experience during an exclusive dinner in the Captain’s Home, hosted by our Director of Winemaking Philippe Bascaules.

The evening begins in the beautiful gardens at the Captain’s Home and then we’ll take a rare venture into the cellar to select vintages of Rubicon to pair with a multi-course dinner by our Estate Chef Alex Lovick.
