About Us
Established in 1982, Etude’s founding philosophy is that winemaking begins in the vineyard long before the harvest and that inspired grape growing diminishes the need for intervention by the winemaker, resulting in an authentic expression of the varietal. This philosophy is brought to life on the Etude Estate Vineyards, tucked away in the far northwest corner of the esteemed Carneros Appellation, close to the elegant state-of-the art winery and tasting room. Etude’s celebrated Pinot Noirs and its small production of sparkling Blanc de Noirs, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Rosé of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are vinified from grapes grown on the Estate while the opulent Cabernet Sauvignon is from vineyards in the prime Cabernet zone, representing the major benchland sub-appellations of Napa Valley – Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena, Coombsville, and Calistoga. The consistent high quality of the grapes Etude grows and sources, combined with the skill and experience of the winemaking team, explains why Etude is recognized as one of America’s premier artisan wineries.

THE STUDY OF PINOT - $95 per person | $45 per person for club members | Offered Monday - Sunday
In this 75-90 Minute private, seated experience guests will enjoy the best wines that Etude has to offer. Specifically the single vineyard Pinot Noirs from our famed Grace Benoist Ranch in Carneros. This lineup of Pinot Noirs is nothing less than extraordinary and with the scores from top wine critics year after year to back it up. Let your wine educator guide you through the ins and outs of this amazing estate and beyond.
ETUDE TOUR & TASTING - $65 per person | $20 per person for club members +3 guests | Offered Monday - Sunday
Take a leisurely stroll around our beautiful property, including the vineyard, Wellness garden, new outdoor plaza, tasting room, and winery mezzanine, while experiencing Etude Wines. You will have the opportunity to enjoy four wines staged in the different areas of our property. This is not a seated experience; all wines will be offered as the tour takes place. All guests must be 21 years of age or older.
THE TERROIR EXPERIENCE - $60 per person | $25 per person for club members | Offered Monday - Sunday
“Terroir” is a French word used to discuss how a wine smells and tastes based on the specific location. In this 60-minute seated tasting experience, you will utilize all of your senses to delve deep into what makes one wine different than another based on geographic location, soil type, and many other factors. Our guests will sample an assortment of single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon wines, all of which are winery-exclusive and relatively small in production. Your host will also explain how regionality and soil differences create different flavor profiles in each wine. This is a seated experience. Indoor & outdoor seating available.
THE PLAZA TASTING - $40 per person | Complimentary for club members +3 guests | Offered Monday - Sunday
This experience allows our guests to indulge in a broad spectrum of what Etude has to offer. Our focus at Etude Wines is mostly Pinot Noir, but we also produce several other varietals. The Plaza Tasting Experience introduces Etude’s heart and soul and gives the guest a variety of wines that are sure to please any palate. This is a seated outdoor experience
CLUB MEMBER EXPERIENCE - Complimentary for club members +3 guests | $50 per additional guest | Offered Monday - Sunday
The club member tasting at Etude is a rotating selection of Etude wines carefully curated by our Wine Club Ambassador. The experience takes place outdoors in our new wine club member's lounge and includes a flight of five (5) Etude wines, ranging from our new Sparkling wine and award-winning Pinot Noirs to our highly touted Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Club members will get to experience everything that makes Etude Wines unique. Allow 60 to 75 minutes for this experience.
