Syndicate Wines is a family-owned operation built on grit, relationships, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. Founded by the Cranor Family in 2009, the company's first project Nottingham Cellars started in the Livermore Valley, where accessible, creative wines became a proving ground for the winemaking team's skill and vision.

In 2019, the Cranors made a bold move to Napa Valley, launching Grape Culture without the usual advantages. No legacy estate. No famous last name. Just a relentless focus on earning their place. Respect in Napa isn't bought—it's earned through quality and relationships. Today, Grape Culture sources from some of the valley's most coveted sites, including Beckstoffer Vineyards, crafting wines that consistently earn critical acclaim. Critics have called the wines "gorgeous and seductive," with "incredible depth and purity," and Joe Czerwinski noted the team's ability to deliver "immense pleasure" with a deft, expressive touch.

Typicité Wines showcases the team's range, focusing on coastal AVA Pinot Noir from prestigious vineyards like Gap's Crown, Dutton Ranch, Bien Nacido, and Tondre Grapefield—cool-climate, site-driven expressions that reflect California's finest terroir.

Craig Ploof joined the team in 2018 as Director of Winemaking and became a partner in 2025 with the merging of Typicité, deepening the family's commitment to crafting wines that compete with anyone. Nottingham Cellars remains the creative playground—approachable, expressive wines that showcase the team's versatility and passion. All three labels are produced at Syndicate HQ in Napa, where every bottle reflects the same philosophy: it starts in the vineyard.
