Matthiasson Wines was founded in 2003 by Jill and Steve Matthiasson after years of work in sustainable agriculture and the local food movement.

Today, Matthiasson Wines remains a family-owned winery guided by the vision of Jill and Steve alongside a small, dedicated team. We are proudly independent, farming organically and pioneering regenerative practices, with a focus on purity, sense of place, and respect for both land and people. Every vine is tended by hand with care and intention, resulting in wines that are deeply flavorful, refreshing, and moderate in alcohol. We cherish classic varieties like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon alongside rarer grapes such as Ribolla Gialla and Refosco — each wine a singular expression of its origin and a natural companion at the table.

We offer a limited number of tastings by appointment seven days a week, hosted outdoors overlooking our Phoenix Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. Each experience is guided by a dedicated host and features a curated flight of five to six wines, including selections available exclusively at the winery. Guests seeking a deeper exploration may opt for a Reserve Tasting, showcasing some of our most sought-after wines, including single-vineyard Cabernets, limited releases, and library selections.
