Keenan Winery is a family-owned estate in the Spring Mountain District of Napa Valley, high in the Mayacamas Mountains. Robert Keenan founded it in 1974 on the 19th-century site of the Peter Conradi winery. Michael Keenan has led the estate since 1998, and Reilly Keenan is the third generation. The estate covers 235 acres, 60 of them planted, and produces 10,000–12,000 cases a year of Bordeaux-style mountain wine — Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and the proprietary Mernet® Reserve. Keenan Merlot has long been a sommelier's reference point for the varietal. Solar-powered since 2007. Open daily 10 am–4 pm except holidays; tastings by appointment. Dogs welcome.
