John Anthony Vineyards was founded in 2003 on three guiding principles: a deep respect for heritage, precision winegrowing, and meticulous winemaking. From the beginning, the focus has been on crafting wines that reflect the depth and diversity of Napa Valley’s terroir through thoughtful, site-driven viticulture.

Prior to founding John Anthony Vineyards, John Anthony Truchard established his own vineyard management business, seeking out small, distinctive parcels across Napa Valley. His approach centered on understanding each site’s unique character and farming with intention, laying the groundwork for wines of depth and distinction. In the late 1990s, he began planting his own vineyards, and in 2006, he released the first wines under the John Anthony label.

Today, John Anthony Vineyards produces limited-production wines sourced from estate vineyards across Napa Valley’s diverse American Viticultural Areas. The portfolio includes Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, single-vineyard expressions of various Rhône and Bordeaux varietals, reserve wines, and exceptional library vintages.

John Anthony Vineyards' estate wines are available for purchase online and through our elegant downtown Napa tasting Lounge. Set within an intimate, polished environment, the lounge offers indoor seating and an outdoor patio. Enjoy wines by the flight, glass, or bottle, complemented by elevated small bites curated by our estate chef.
