About Us
Hess Persson Estates is a family-owned winery located on Mount Veeder, off the beaten path, in Napa Valley. Donald Hess founded the Hess Collection Winery in 1978 and opened to the public with The Hess Art Collection in 1989. Now led by the family's second generation, Tim and Sabrina Persson, Hess Persson Estates specializes in world-class Cabernet Sauvignon with a focus on sustainability in the vineyard and in the cellar. Hess Persson Estates has been recognized globally for the wines of Hess Collection, Lion Tamer, Panthera, and their winery-exclusive Small Block Series.

Unique Features
Hess Persson Estates is located in the historic stone winery originally constructed in 1903 by Colonel Theodore Gier. The courtyard garden at the entrance to the visitor center, designed by landscape architect Peter Walker, is bordered by a reflecting pool that carries on the tradition of Gier’s lily pads, with stone sourced from the original quarry.
