About Us
The Regusci Winery
The term "Ghost Winery" was given to the few remaining early Napa Valley wineries that were in existence between 1860 and 1900. Very few of these Ghost Wineries remain as the vineyards of most Napa Valley wineries were decimated by the phylloxera infestation of the 1890's. The economic depression of that decade was the final blow for many others. Over the years many fell into disrepair and were dismantled or absorbed into newer, more modern facilities. One rare example of a perfectly preserved Ghost Winery is the T.L Grigsby-Occidental Winery located on the Regusci Ranch.
Built in 1878, the winery's handsome hand-cut stone facade, with its graceful arched windows, is crafted entirely from lava stone and has walls that are two feet thick.
In 1995, Angelo Regusci and his son Jim decided to reestablish the winery, and in 1996 Angelo and Jim crushed their first vintage of Stags Leap District wines. This family-owned and operated winery opened it's doors in June of 1998 showcasing its estate wines. The old Occidental Winery has been lovingly restored to its original purpose, boasting three floors where past meets present, each floor ready for entertainment. What was once a well-worn ranch, is now spilling over with the most sought-after wine experiences in the Napa Valley.
The Regusci Ranch continues to evolve with its rustic authenticity which is reflected in the spirit of its farming practices and the nature of its hospitality. The ranch boasts culinary gardens and a year-round farm stand and in addition to providing food and beauty these thoughtfully cultivated spaces help to maintain biodiversity on the property and contribute to the long-term health of the land and the people who live, work and visit here. The family is committed to respect and honor the health and vitality of the land and ensure it's prosperous for years to come for generations to come.
With 160 of our 286 acres planted to vineyards, our views are one of the most talked about features of the ranch. Our expansive outdoor patio is a sun-soaked oasis where guests can enjoy comfortable seating and blissful experiences.

Tasting Experience
We only know one way to be: Welcoming! From the moment you drive through the gates and continue up the long driveway, you’re drawn in by the beauty and timelessness of this place. In every season, guests are greeted by our honor-system farm wagon offering produce from our beautiful and bountiful gardens and we like to think it sets the tone: because when you visit our ranch, you’re family. Our friendly tasting room crew explains, interprets and informs without preaching. In our gardens, we encourage guests to slow down and take a moment to simply admire the majestic views. A visit to our ranch reflects the way we live our lives and the result (we hope) is an experience that is gracious, comfortable, and real.
