About Us
Our family has tended vineyards in California's Napa Valley for four generations. In 1999, we purchased the Animo vineyard in Atlas Peak, marking the first chapter of the Michael Mondavi Family Estate.
We pride ourselves on creating a family-owned, heritage driven portfolio of small-production, artisanal wines. While Cabernet Sauvignon is at our core, we take a thoughtful approach on crafting wines
from several varietals including Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
All vineyards are farmed sustainably and our estate vineyards are certified Napa Green.

We are on the move...
And are super excited to share the news that Michael, Rob Jr., Isabel and Dina have sold the Carneros property and tasting room and are in search of a new boutique winemaking facility and tasting room in Napa Valley. Rest assured none of your favorite brands are affected by our move and the Michael Mondavi Family will still own the Animo and Oso vineyards that produce the family brands Isabel Mondavi, Emblem, Animo and ‘M’ by Michael Mondavi.
