John and Maggy Kongsgaard, fifth-generation Napa natives, and their son Alex make small lots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, Albarino, and VioRous (Viognier/Roussanne blend). Their shy-bearing vineyards and traditional, low-intervention winemaking techniques produce wines of high intensity. Production is limited to what they can make with their own hands in their cave on the eastern rim of the Napa Valley. The wines are sold primarily through an annual mailing list offering in September of each year and to fine restaurants around the world.
