About Us
Grace Family Vineyards is not only for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon but also for its deep-rooted philosophy of stewardship and reverence for the land. Founded in 1976 by Dick and Ann Grace, the winery began with cuttings from the legendary Bosché Vineyard in Rutherford, planted on their St. Helena property. Their first harvest in 1978 was a family effort, delivered to Caymus Winery in the back of a station wagon, where Charlie Wagner himself recognized the extraordinary quality of the fruit. This marked the beginning of one of Napa Valley’s first vineyard-designated wines, and over the following decades, Grace Family Cabernet became one of the region’s original "cult" wines, renowned worldwide for its excellence.
Though the Grace family sold the property in 2019, the estate remains family-owned, with Dick and Ann still residing on the land they nurtured for over four decades. Today, the Green family carries on their legacy, maintaining the same commitment to quality and sustainability. The vineyard team continues to work with a focus on regenerative farming practices that promote a thriving ecosystem, ensuring vine health and longevity. With vineyard records dating back decades, each decision is made with care and collaboration, preserving the meticulous craftsmanship that has defined Grace Family Vineyards from the start. Now representing a collection of vineyard-designated wines, the estate remains a benchmark for Napa Valley excellence, where the land’s voice is expressed through every bottle.
