About Us
Founded by third-generation farmer Tom Gamble, Gamble Estates reflects his enduring connection to the land and commitment to farming with care and intention. Spanning 175 acres across four of Napa’s most celebrated AVAs—Oakville, Yountville, Mount Veeder, and Rutherford—Gamble Estates cultivates each vineyard to highlight the individual identity of the location and the growing area. From the volcanic soils of Oakville’s Family Home Vineyard to the cooler microclimates of Yountville’s Riverbound Vineyard, these sites produce wines that offer a true sense of place.
Tom’s decades-long partnership with Philippe Melka began in the early 2000s when Philippe became one of the first to recognize the distinctive qualities of Gamble’s grapes. The collaboration with Atelier Melka has grown into a shared vision for crafting wines that are regeneratively farmed, minimally handled and expressive of Gamble’s vineyards.

Tasting Experience
Gamble Family Vineyards is a small, privately owned winery nestled in the southern part of Oakville. We focus primarily on Bordeaux varietals, including our renowned, barrel-aged Heart Block Sauvignon blanc. We are open to hosting members and collectors looking to join our family. Our offerings range from $95-$205 per bottle. For safety reasons, we do not allow dogs or children on the property.
