About Us
Frank Family Vineyards was founded in 1992 by former Disney Studios President, Rich Frank. First constructed as the Historic Larkmead Winery in 1884, the stone building on property is the third oldest in Napa and appears on the National Register of Historical Places. Today, Frank Family has grown to encompass more than 380 acres of vineyards across Napa Valley’s most acclaimed appellations. Frank Family welcomes guests daily to the property’s original yellow Craftsman house, home to their iconic tasting room, named “Best Napa Winery” by the Bay Area A-List for an unprecedented eight years in a row.
Frank Family Vineyards has built a reputation as a world-class producer of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. In addition to estate-grown Cabernet and Chardonnay, Frank Family also produces méthode champenoise sparkling wines, Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, and Zinfandel.

Tasting Experience
Frank Family Vineyards expanded and enhanced their much beloved tasting facilities in 2008, opening a new tasting room in the original Craftsman house on the Calistoga property. The tasting room provides separate tasting areas for sparkling wines and still wines, with four additional rooms available for private tastings. Tastings are $40. Always jovial and often brimming with laughter, guests that visit the tasting room often find the experience refreshing in that the only focus at Frank Family Vineyards is wine and fun. The tasting room is consistently recognized by top national publications, wine tasters and aficionados across the board as one of the best in the country.
Just outside the winery, to the south of the building, visitors are welcome to sit under the giant elm trees, relax at wooden picnic tables and enjoy spectacular vineyard views
