We are excited to share that our 13th Annual Abacus Wine Escape will be held on May 5-7, 2023. ZD Wines is celebrating the release of Abacus XXIV (1992-2021), a milestone Bottling with 30 consecutive vintages of ZD's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon!
The luxurious weekend-long experience includes lodging at the Four Seasons Resort in Calistoga, receptions, brunch, an Abacus perspective tasting, and an exclusive wine dinner.

Welcome Reception - 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Join the deLeuze family and the ZD team to kick off the festivities of a spectacular weekend celebrating this milestone release of Abacus 24th Bottling. Enjoy world-class wines poured from large formats, including Abacus from a 3-liter. Culinary pairings will be prepared by Four Seasons Chef Shaun Acosta and his team. Visit with your fellow guests while listening to acoustic music and take in the spectacular view of Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and Palisades Mountain.

Abacus Perspective Tasting - 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Board the round-trip shuttle from Four Seasons Resort to ZD Wines and be welcomed with the limited production 50th Anniversary Reserve Cuvée paired with delectable caviar. A keystone of the weekend is the perspective tasting featuring multiple Bottlings of Abacus, including the current-release Abacus XXIV (1992-2021). New this year, join Senior Winemaker Chris Pisani and third-generation Winemaker Brandon deLeuze as they guide you through an insider's blending and tasting of the next Bottling of Abacus XXV releasing August 2023. Third-generation Winery Chef Jill deLeuze Billeci will be crafting culinary fare to complement this incredible lineup of wines.
Abacus Wine Dinner - 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
A reception with a variety of wine offerings, passed appetizers and live music will take place overlooking an amazing vineyard vista. The Vineyard Barn is a perfect venue to enjoy and relish in a multi-course meal paired with our award-winning Reserve wines and multiple Bottlings of Abacus. Top Chef alum and Executive Chef Rogelio Garcia of Auro at the Four Seasons Resort, in collaboration with Chef Shaun Acosta, have embraced creating a seasonally curated inspired menu to delight your senses.

Farewell Brunch - 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Join us for mimosas and sip on newly released Reserve Chardonnay and Founder's Reserve Pinot Noir wines, as well as 3-liter formats of library vintages, from our organically certified Carneros Estate vineyard along with an array of culinary offerings from a Napa Valley restaurant partner. Afterwards, walk the vineyard property or flourishing gardens, play bocce, enjoy the deck of the historic home built in 1896 and mingle and reminisce about the epic weekend had by all.
