Unwritten is a boutique winery dedicated to making a complex yet elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, made by the acclaimed winemaker, Mark Porembski, known in Napa Valley for his beautiful portfolio of wines.
Superb sourcing and careful selection work hand in hand to create an extraordinary wine that seduces the palate both today and 20 years from now.
With its first two vintages sold out in a matter of days, Unwritten is turning heads and pleasing palettes in the wine industry, including The French Laundry in Yountville, the exclusive Martis Camp Club in Lake Tahoe as well as Bravo Network’s Iron Sommelier, Willi Sherer, who is the 37th Master Sommelier in the World.
In Willi’s words:
“Many wineries claim that their wines emulate the incredible Napa Valley Cabernets of the 1970’s; this wine actually achieves that style.
The 2016 Unwritten Cabernet Sauvignon from St Helena is a study in elegance.
On the nose there are scents of tobacco leaf, forest floor and acacia flower. The palate displays flavors of red currant, anise and a sophisticated note of iron/clay minerality.
Perfectly integrated tannins seamlessly support the body of the wine throughout the palate.
The 2016 is a graceful wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for future enjoyment.
It is refreshing to see wines being made in this refined style again.”
Unwritten's Cabernet Sauvignon retails for $150 / bottle and $330 / Magnum.
