About Us
David Fulton Winery boasts the oldest, continuously, owned and operated family vineyard in California, established in 1860. Their Petite Sirah is their signature wine and the grapes are coveted by several world-reknowned producers. A small, special block of the vineyard is held back to make David Fulton Petite Sirah. They have recently expanded their portfolio with 10+ labels and even a second brand called ME Wine. Come in for a taste of history and now even a taste of the future - they have something for every pallet.
The grapes are picked into small boxes and hand-sorted before de-stemming. They are then again, sorted by berry.

Unique Features
David Fulton established the family’s St. Helena vineyard in 1860 and built the first stone wine cellar (within St. Helena city limits) next to it a year later. Mr. Fulton was among many things, a blacksmith, pioneer, St. Helena town visionary and an inventor. His most notable invention being the Fulton Plow, which one horse could pull between closely planted vineyard rows – increasing the number of vines he could plant and harvest. As a visionary he saw the suitability and future of this St. Helena vineyard.
As both endeavors were genius, the benefits of the vineyard have clearly outlasted the benefits of the one-horse plow!
Today, Fulton and Dink Mather are the owners. Their son, Richard Mather is the winemaker. The family has restored this historic winery to its original design and in its original location for visitors to enjoy.
